Anchorage is a great winter destination also, and is a short 45 minute drive to Mt. Alyeska – a world class ski mountain with runs for all types of skill levels. The resort offers a tram lift with seven chair lifts, there is a restaurant at the top of the mountain. In winter you can enjoy cross country skiing, skate skiing, ice skating and opportunities for dog sledding and snow machining.
