Lake Michigan Cottage

Lake Michigan non-smoking cottage with 20 feet of private frontage just north of Arcadia 2 minutes from M-22, 3 miles from Arcadia Bluffs golf course and 10 miles from Frankfort, has rental openings. Designed for a maximum of 2 people overnight, this one bedroom, 1 full bath 560 sq. ft. cottage sits 55 yards from Lake Michigan. The cottage is fully furnished with a King size bed. and also has a Double sized futon, high speed internet, VIZIO SMART TV, Spectrum cable, full kitchen including gas stove, and refrigerator. Flooring is Pergo waterproof laminate. There is a basketball hoop, tree swing, hammock, adult bikes as well. A Weber charcoal grill is provided too! Linens and towels are provided. If you have a kayak or canoe, there is now a boat launch system – 25 feet of rope required that can be attached to the boat.
Dogs are OK as long as they are at least a year old. If you have a pet, please indicate that when you make your reservation. No more than 2 dogs allowed and each is $20 per day
We do the cleaning – it isn’t contracted out. This ensures that everything is as expected when you walk in the door including door knobs and TV remotes that have been disinfected.
The westerly facing deck has 6 outdoor chairs and table with umbrella. Beach chairs are also provided. An umbrella for the beach is not. There is an additional private deck overlooking the beach directly in front of the cottage and the sunset view below is what you can see :). The private beach frontage is directly in front of the house. Solar lights guide the way if it’s dark. The main house is rarely used during a rental. There is a steel ring for camp fires as Mother Nature allows. You can dig a hole for a beach fire with a calm wind.
To the north of the cottage about 600 feet is over 3 1/2 miles of pristine beach with no houses to ruin the view The land is owned by the state and the Grand Traverse Land Conservancy! No smoking is allowed of any kind on the property. You have some of the most gorgeous views here on planet earth. It is not uncommon to see Eagles flying by. There are presently five eagles 🦅 nesting a mile to the south.
The private beach is down 24 easy steps of OSHA certified steps to sand and Lake Michigan which changes daily depending on wind direction and whatever Mother Nature decides for the day. There is a platform on the stones for kayaks/canoes to rest before placing them in the water. Plenty of room on the sand for your beach chairs! The views remain fantastic, the water sparkling, and unparalleled sunsets that are some of the best in the world – and that’s not an exaggeration. We’re within 15 minutes of the Betsie Valley Trail, walking distance to Grand Traverse land conservancy trails, 40 minutes from Interlochen, and 50 minutes from Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Leland is a little over an hour away. If you’re looking for privacy, this is a great place! If you’re looking to go places, this is a great place! If you’re looking for great Lake Michigan views, it doesn’t get any better!
