Listing Description

This studio cabin is the perfect retreat, close enough to many attractions yet far enough away to escape from it all! Whatever you do, you will treasure your visit to the beautiful and scenic Daniel Boone National Forest! This cozy cabin is 358 sq ft and has a comfy living area, 3/4 bath, modern well-equipped kitchen, memory foam queen bed; rocking chairs on the front porch, grill, picnic table, hammock and also a fire pit for S’mores in the yard, firewood supplied. The property sits adjacent to the “Thrash Rock” a geological feature of historical interest. Local legend tells us this is where the ancient natives and local townfolk threshed their grain. The area was settled early 19th century & locals say in late 19th century this area was a busy small village on the road to Sinking Creek and the Rockcastle River. Old home foundations dot the landscape. The cabin sits in the front of our 22 acres adjoining the Daniel Boone National Forest. Completed in 2016, Forest Cabin is now open for guests! Please consider a visit, you will experience nature at its finest!
Conveniently located 5 miles down White Oak Road in London, Kentucky. Exit 41, 80W. midway between Wood Creek Lake and Laurel River Lake. Relax on the porch rocking chairs, hammock for 1 or 2, grill & chill at the picnic table in the yard or roast marshmallows for S’mores at the firepit in the yard, firewood supplied. Cozy Cabin We were so happy with this little cabin. It was in a nice setting and was exactly as described. We only need one bed, which was so firm and provided a good night's sleep, so the price was right and not having to pay for more than what we require was nice. If we needed anything that wasn't there all we had to do was ask.
