This beautiful year around get-away has approximately 904 sq ft on first floor with a deck 34’x10′, the second floor has approximately 998 sq ft, with a 34′ x10′ deck overlooking the 15th fairway of Northwood Hills Golf Course. The lower deck has a gas grill, bar and outdoor dining.
From either deck you can relax with a cup of coffee in the morning, watch the sun come up over the beautiful green fairway in the summer, and/or enjoy a white wonderland in the winter. A perfect place to unwind with a beverage in the shade of the afternoon and watch the golfers go by.
If you like fishing, you have come to the right place. You are just 2 miles from a fishing launch and a boat launch. There are rental boat slips available for your convenience for overnight parking. The marina has gas, fishing tackle, etc. Ice fishing houses are available if you prefer winter fishing.
Mille Lacs Lake is known to be one of the best lakes in Minnesota for walleye and musky fishing. You are just 5 minutes away from Grand Casino Mille Lacs with great night life, a fascinating Ojibwe museum, a movie theater, restaurants with some amazing food, and a grocery store.
There is shopping available in Garrison (5 mi), Aitkin (20 mi) and Brainerd (25 mi). Garrison has many community events though out the year. Visit the Garrison Community Club website for dates and times. There is also the Paul Bunyan amusement park just 15 minutes away and Safari North Wildlife Park/Zoo about 30 miles from here for kids. Kathio State Park also offers many great family activities such as walking trails in both summer and winter and a swimming beach.
This is a log house with forced air heat and ac. All linens for the bedrooms, baths, and kitchen are supplied. See list below for items provided in the kitchen. Satellite TV and wireless internet are provided.
The master suite has a queen size bed, walk in closet and an on-suite bath. The lofted living area has a couch that is a double hide-a-bed and two large chairs that are single hide-a-beds. This area also has a half bath, game table, flat screen TV with DVD, and walkout to upper deck.
The main level has two bedrooms, a full bath and an eat in kitchen with a table and separate breakfast bar. One bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a sink and vanity, as well as 2 bunk beds that are double on bottom and single bunk on top. This second bedroom on the main level also has access to the lower deck.
This house is ideal for family getaway, crafting, scrap booking, girls’ weekend, guys golfing, hunting, and fishing get away.
