‘The Crest’ features a scenic gentle drive to a spacious parking area that is level with the cottage, located on top of the mountain at an elevation of 3200 feet. The views are breathtaking! From your car, you are only a few steps from the covered porch. You will enter a spacious living area and are immediately surrounded by large windows with spectacular views of nature and the surrounding mountains. Unpack, light the gas fireplace and you won’t want to leave!
Our ‘smoke-free’ and ‘pet friendly’ cottage is close to the historic charm of Blowing Rock and the growing college town of Boone. Yet just outside your door lie 14 acres to roam, deer and wild turkeys. On the adjoining National Forest property is Hebron Falls, with a bold stream to follow, or a huge bolder to just sit on and fish. Sound wonderful? ….It is!
The front and large back covered porches are great places to enjoy the brisk mornings, warm afternoons, and cool evenings, with a special cup of coffee and an enjoyable book from our reading library. The surrounding sounds of nature may lull you into a restful afternoon nap.
